QualysGuard Recognised As Best Network Protection Service of the Year in the IDG Network Awards 2005
Publication date: Wednesday, 06 July 2005

London, UK – 5 July, 2005 – Qualys™, Inc., the leader in on demand vulnerability management, today announced that it has received the award for “Best Service of the Year for Network Protection” from IDG’s Network Awards 2005. The IDG network awards recognise the very best in every field of the networking industry and reward companies and individuals who have demonstrated technical excellence throughout the past year and attract hundreds of entries. This is the second year running that Qualys has won this particular award.
The award ceremony held at an IDG gala dinner in London on 22 June attracted more than 400 attendees from business user organisations, networking and communications vendors and service providers, as well as the trade press.
“Two key criteria are paramount in the judging process for these awards: the ability to deliver real return on investment and also to solve a significant business need. It’s clear to us that QualysGuard more than meets these needs and that’s why we are pleased to acknowledge its prowess for the second year running.” said Maxwell Cooter, editor and founder of Techworld and chairman of the judging panel.

Other solutions short listed in the category Best Network Protection Service came from Blackspider Technologies, F5 Networks, Imprivata and Scansafe.

“Delivering business value, ease of use and technical excellence is what we thrive on. Delivering a Vulnerability Management as a service allows us to provide a best of breed solution that both small and large corporations can easily deploy without the cost and complexities associated with traditional enterprise software.” Said Philippe Courtot, CEO of Qualys.

This award is the second significant accolade Qualys has received in Europe this year. Qualys won the SC Magazine European Excellence award for “Best Small Business Security Solution”.
