Hackers take Google Malta ‘down the can’ Wednesday, 13 April 2005, 18:32 GMT Google, the US-based corporation listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, has not confirmed nor denied whether its Maltese search engine, Google.com.mt, was hacked late on Tuesday evening earlier this week, presumably by Maltese hackers. The search button ‘fittex’ (search) encountered a momentary metamorphosis on Tuesday evening when the word on the button was changed to the standard Maltese insult of calling somebody a ‘penis in a can’.
