The U.S. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers said wireless networks could soon run 10 times faster than they do now, the BBC reported Sunday.
Competing technology groups are proposing different ways to speed up the data rates of wi-fi which could reach 540 megabits per second. The battling technologies, called WWise and TGn Sync, are being assessed by the IEEE.
