Studios Attack BitTorrent IT-Observer.com Reader comments No matter the quality of the pirate version, it gives me a chance to see if the movie is worth seeing or not (buying or not), whether it is in the threatres or on DVD or pay per view (where I can record it digitally anyway). And if it is not worth it, motion picture industry does not get my money. This is the problem with the MPAA. The MPAA thinks they can get your money without test driving the merchandise. I see a movie like a car, not a fine dining experience or a greasy dinner breakfast. If I buy a movie, I am going to drive it around every time I decide to watch it over and over. If it is a lemon, why should I not get my money back. My trust level is down when it comes to movie critics. To many are paid in some way by the industry to give positive critics. For example, look at any of the positive critics for the new film "Alexander"! Come on, it's a dive bomber!!! MPAA is a con game. Want to stop the pirates? Get Smart!! - My name? Oviously Not Alexander! An P2P technologies will go more secure and secure, with more difficult to police :) Good luck MPAA and RIAA :) - By Mike Would like to see what happens with BitTorrent as the host file is not actually the data itself - rather like the old argument that to quote the song, "guns don't kill people, rappers do." Curious. But then I actually buy my movies on DVD becase the pirate copies are so crap. - Guy Smith |
