There are still important elements missing in CDDL.
1. Who will be able to contribute?
2. Once contributed to Solaris, will it be possible to contribute the same code to any other operating system?
The license opens up more questions than it answers, many that would make the opensource developer community shun this license. It seems to be a lock-in that has always avoided - a take and take deal.
