Andrews & Arnold Becomes Redbus Interhouse's 70th Connectivity Provider
Publication date: Friday, 07 January 2005

Confirming Redbus Interhouse as the UK's leading independent colocation & managed services provider

London, January 6th 2005- Redbus Interhouse (UK) Ltd, the UK division of Europe's most advanced, independent colocation and managed services provider, today announces an agreement with Andrews and Arnold, a recognised ISDN equipment supplier and Internet Service Provider based in Bracknell, Berkshire. This new partnership takes the number of connectivity providers that Redbus Interhouse can offer its London customers to 70, making Redbus Interhouse the leading independent colocation and managed services provider in the UK market, in terms of the choice and quantity of connectivity.

Andrews and Arnold Ltd provides a broad range of products and services to business and domestic customers. As an ISP, the company provides high quality broadband connections and hosting. However, Andrews and Arnold is also widely known as a supplier of telecommunications equipment, from phones to fax machines, pagers, and phone systems, but its primary focus is ISDN, VoIP equipment and complete telecommunications solutions for small to medium sized businesses, including equipment for telephone, SMS, Fax, email and internet access.

Andrews and Arnold is a rapidly growing ISP business offering some unique services such as constant monitoring of all customer routers every second and the allocation of IP6 address blocks. Operating as a full service ISP from its own offices was highly impractical and Redbus Interhouse offered the most cost effective and efficient alternative.

Adrian Kennard, Managing Director, Andrews & Arnold commented; "As we've grown, we've acquired more customers and equipment - and responsibility. It was apparent that a colocation solution was really the way to go. We looked for a carrier neutral provider capable of housing all our servers, routers, BT central termination equipment, customer machines and FireBricks in a resilient and secure environment."

"We reviewed several of the colocation companies but selected Redbus Interhouse in London for a variety of reasons. It gives us fast, cost effective connectivity and peering plus the opportunity to expand as we grow. Redbus Interhouse was easy to deal with and their systems, while extremely secure, were uncomplicated, unlike some of the other providers. Although not an initial concern, network resilience and security have become bigger issues as we have grown and taken on larger customers. Redbus Interhouse takes these issues off our hands and handles them very proficiently."

Simon Neal, UK Country Manager, Redbus Interhouse (UK) Ltd, commented: "We're delighted to welcome Andrews and Arnold Ltd into Redbus Interhouse and look forward to a lengthy and mutually beneficial relationship with the company. It is exciting to see a company grow rapidly and contribute in some measure to its success through the provision of an optimal environment for growth."
