Manufacturers Program Builds Comprehensive Library of Network Equipment Shapes and Stencils
Chicago, Illinois, December 15, 2004 - Altima Technologies, Inc., a Microsoft® Visio® Partner, announces the release of the 65,000th shape within NetZoom’s Computer/Telecomm library solidifying its position as the largest collection of intelligent equipment shapes.
NetZoom products enable users to create detailed network diagrams and presentations in a variety of diagramming applications including Microsoft Visio®, Microsoft PowerPoint, iGrafx, AutoCAD, netViz and numerous other applications. NetZoom provides IT professionals with one source of vendor-specific hardware symbols for creating accurate network representations.
“The release of our 65,000th NetZoom shape is a significant milestone for Altima,” says Sara Clark, President of Altima Technologies, Inc. “This achievement, coupled with our free shape development services for all customers and release of 15,000 new shapes each year, demonstrates our commitment to the IT community and desire to remain the leading solution for network design professionals.”
To maintain its competitive edge in the field, Altima invites leading hardware manufacturers to participate in Altima’s Manufacturers Program enabling Altima to create exact replicas of their computer/telecomm product lines. These manufacturer-specific shapes are added to the NetZoom library after the hardware manufacturers approval. The Manufacturers Program ensures that the shapes and stencils are detailed, accurate and up-to-date.
“At Altima, our goal is to provide IT professionals with each and every equipment shape they need to create an accurate representation of the company’s network. Altima’s Manufacturers Program helps us ensure that the professionals who use the NetZoom application will be able to access the resources they need, and that the NetZoom Library is accurate at all times. We work closely with the top hardware manufacturers to make sure every shape created exactly to the manufacturer’s specification,” says Dustin Wicks, Marketing Manager for Manufacturers Program at Altima Technologies, Inc. “The Manufacturers Program benefits the end users and provides exposure for the manufacturers’ products. Every manufacturer should take part in this free beneficial program!”
Jack Landau a Marketing Communications Manager at Anritsu Company says "Visio shapes are an essential aspect of network planning in the data communications market. Anritsu's datacomm test and measurement equipment has better applicability and usefulness to customers because of the Visio shape capabilities that Altima Technologies provides, and that Anritsu relies on."
