Zultys Technologies Announces Partnership with ITSP nexVortex
Monday, 15 November 2004 13:50 ESTNew alliance provides businesses with SIP based VoIP services and reduced costs
SUNNYVALE, Calif., 15 November 2004 – Zultys Technologies today announced a partnership with nexVortex, an Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) located in Northern Virginia. This partnership provides businesses with the ability to extend their VoIP communications outside of the enterprise allowing for greater choice in services, easier access to account information, and superior calling rates. Zultys supports this offering on its enterprise media exchanges, the MX25 and the MX250.
IP based telephony systems are enjoying overwhelming success against legacy PBXs due to their significant gains in productivity, increased savings, and more efficient communications between offices. However, since most businesses still connect to the legacy phone network for external calling (via analog or ISDN circuits), the benefits realized have mainly been focused within the enterprise. These traditional interconnections and services are costly, frequently have long lead times, and cannot accommodate rapid change.
Now, companies deploying a Zultys solution can link directly to the nexVortex service for calls leaving the enterprise using the open standard SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). Setup is straightforward and can be completed in a matter of minutes. No additional hardware is required. Existing installations can upgrade the MX software to version 2.2 to support this feature. An MX250 can simultaneously connect to the legacy PSTN and the ITSP, to offer the user preferences in call routing.
“We offer communication services tailored specifically for enterprises using VoIP telephony systems like the MX250,” said Wes Rogers, EVP Sales and Marketing at nexVortex. “By partnering with Zultys we can rapidly deploy services that are guaranteed to work together with the hardware and provide significant benefits over traditional telephone offerings.”
Employing a “pay as you go” model, businesses are not required to pay a setup fee for the service and there are no monthly minimums. Users of the service have access to detailed information and usage reports through a web portal.
“Our channel partners can now offer the best IP PBX to a customer along with the best solution for phone service,” said Iain Milnes, president of Zultys Technologies. “With this combination, a business is implementing VoIP within the business as well as VoIP to the outside. This is the way of the future.”
The partnership between Zultys and nexVortex gives Zultys channel partners another way to provide their customers with valuable products and services. Not only can they help businesses create a seamless communications system within the enterprise, but they can also give them a VoIP service for external calls.
“We’ve already seen great success with the Zultys products. This announcement makes our job even easier,” said Neil Darling, Partner at EtherSpeak Communications, a Zultys reseller located in Dumfries, VA. “I now have an additional product I can take to my existing Zultys customers and I have a complete solution for businesses who may have been sitting on the fence. This is an excellent way for us to deliver VoIP to our customers and generate incremental revenue in the process.”
Pricing and Availability
The combined solution is available immediately. Initially, service will only be available in the USA and Canada. However, subsequent announcements will be made as service becomes available in other regions. The software license on the MX250 is approximately $30 per simultaneous call. Licenses can be added at any time. Fees for the service from nexVortex are usage based and vary depending on the destination address. Specific route pricing can be found online at the nexVortex web site.
