FrontBridge Sales Surge as Companies Turn To Enterprise Message Management and Email Security Services
Monday, 9 August 2004 13:24 EST

August 9, 2004 - FrontBridge, the leader in enterprise message management and email security, today announced the expansion of its customer roster with almost 900 new customers selecting the FrontBridge TrueProtect(tm) Message Management Suite in the first half of 2004. In Q1 2004 FrontBridge added 354 new customers followed by 535 new customers in Q2, a 51 per cent quarter over quarter increase. FrontBridge now provides its managed services to over 2,100 customers, processing more than 3 Billion messages monthly.

Ranging from financial services to manufacturing, new customers such as VeriSign, Westinghouse Lighting Corp., Fox Racing and TransUnion, join FrontBridge's list of prestigious customers such as Bausch & Lomb, Georgia Pacific, Virgin and Reebok.

"We have drastically reduced the amount of spam our end users receive by blocking it prior to reaching our network," said Jason Centanni, IWS/LAN manager, TransUnion. "Millions of emails are kept off of our network and out of end users inbox's on a monthly basis - in excess of 70% of all inbound email was spam. FrontBridge is truly a lights-out managed solution that provides near zero false positives with little to no management overhead. In addition, FrontBridge's tiered anti-virus solution has performed flawlessly. After evaluating several major competitors, we chose FrontBridge for their ease of use, manageability and low false positive rating. If you take the time to trial this solution, you will not be disappointed - except for asking yourself why you did not do it sooner."

"FrontBridge is riding a wave of momentum going into the second half of 2004," said Tom Orella, vice president of sales operations for FrontBridge Technologies. "Enterprises realise that the de facto standard for business message management and email security is FrontBridge because our service does not block legitimate email and our distributed, load balanced SMART Network architecture guarantees the highest levels of reliability. We continue to diversify our portfolio to offer even more managed services that make it easier for enterprises to maximise the benefits of their messaging systems."

Other key announcements for the first half of 2004 include:

* Strategic Partnership with VeriSign: VeriSign selected FrontBridge to provide the technology behind VeriSign's Email Security Service(tm).

* Partnership with Sprint: The Sprint Email ProtectionSM Services combines FrontBridge's market-leading email security services with Sprint's global network and distribution channels to deliver an innovative email-protection service to organisations internationally.

* Addition of Preventative Technology to Guard against Fraudulent Inbound Email: FrontBridge joined the fight against forged email by adopting the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) standard that will become part of the industry-backed Sender ID initiative.

* First Managed Service Provider to Fully Support Transport Layer Security Protocol: Senders and recipients transmitting email across the FrontBridge network can be confident that with TLS encryption they have a transparent layer of security that prevents message interception during transit.

* FrontBridge Listed in "Leaders" Quadrant of Gartner's 2004 Enterprise Spam Filtering Report: FrontBridge gained placement in the inaugural report within the "leaders" quadrant. For more details on the report, please visit www.frontbridge.com
