British Company Enables Secure End To End Sms Text Message Communication

Silicon Village Mobile, a Birmingham UK based developer , has today launched the latest version of it's solution for sending secure SMS text messages.
The new encryption application provides secure end-to-end data transmission for SMS messages on Nokia Series 60 Sony UIQ Symbian mobile phones.
A J2ME Java version for PDA's amd MiDP 2.0 Molbile phones is imminent.
Developed by expert, Dr. David Reynolds, Fortress SMS is a phone based application that sends encrypted SMS messages and decrypts coded SMS text messages when received.
Tony King, a partner in development firm, Silicon Village Mobile said "Fortress SMS is designed for security conscious SMS users seeking to protect their sensitive private or commercial messages from over-the-air , phishing and Operator intercepts .
Users of Fortress SMS are able to transmit and receive strongly encrypted messages, directly to their mobile phones , without the need for operator or expensive hardware solutions.

Fortress SMS users can create and read encrypted messages directly on their Series 60 , Sony and J2ME smart phones .The messages are stored in an encrypted form and password protected, so protecting them from casual or determined prying , either over the air, or at an operator location."
