Sunbelt Software Completes Acquisition Of Kerio Personal Firewall From Kerio Technologies

Worcester, UK, 21st December 2005 Sunbelt System Software, a leading provider of Windows system administration tools and enterprise security solutions, today announces it has completed its acquisition of the Kerio Personal Firewall, a powerful and industry-leading firewall. The acquisition also includes the Kerio ServerFirewall, a powerful tool that provides advanced firewall protection for Windows server operating systems. The company also announces aggressive new pricing for Kerio Personal Firewall.
Both of Kerios firewall products will be re-branded on an interim basis as the Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall² and Sunbelt Kerio ServerFirewall. Existing customers of both products will receive full technical support through Sunbelt. The company will also maintain Kerio¹s product support forums for both products, with full transition of the forums to Sunbelt servers expected by January.

Sunbelt is also launching an aggressive price promotion on the Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, providing an immediate 25% discount on all purchases until the end of the first quarter 2006. The effect of this promotion is that the price of the Personal Firewall will start at £10.49, with volume discounts available for larger quantities.
Continued availability of the free basic Kerio Personal Firewall Sunbelt will continue Kerio¹s tradition of offering the Kerio Personal Firewall as a basic free edition for home use, with the option to purchase an enhanced full edition.
