Telsis launches low cost network conferencing solution
Publication date: Thursday, 03 July 2003

As mobile and fixed line telcos across the world renew interest in conferencing in order to boost voice revenues, Telsis today unveils LinkCall 240, an out-of-the-box solution that handles up to 240 simultaneous callers in up to 40 conferences. At £395 per port, LinkCall 240 is immediately deployable and provides an instant revenue opportunity with a low entry cost.

Ideal for both business and private use, LinkCall 240 does not require phone users to register or pre-book. There are no complicated access codes and each caller pays for their own call. LinkCall 240 is compatible with the full range of Telsis LinkCall solutions, which can be scaled for larger networks.

Telsis conferencing technology is already in use with T-Mobile in the UK and has just been ordered by a second major European telco in a multi-million Euro deal.

LinkCall 240 is easily integrated with existing network infrastructure, with no day-to-day management burden, no additional billing mechanism, fully customisable audio prompts, and the delivery of real-time statistics to help operators track the growth in new revenues.

“We know that many operators want to test the market for on-demand conferencing, but have been put off by the price of entry,” says Telsis marketing director Alan Pinnegar. “With LinkCall 240 we’ve lowered the barrier and made conferencing affordable and simple.”

With its headquarters, research and production site in the UK, Telsis (www.telsis.com) has sales and support operations in France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Singapore and Australia. The company offers a range of carrier-grade infrastructure platforms, including intelligent SMS Routers, IN service control points, switches and advanced IVR solutions that support a wide variety of innovative value-added text and voice services. Telsis products are in use with major fixed and mobile network operators around the world.
