BlueSecure Delivers Unbeatable Security Features according to Frost and Sullivan
July 5, 2005 – Bluesocket (www.bluesocket.com), the leader in open wireless security and management solutions, today announced that it has won the coveted Frost and Sullivan Award for Product Innovation as part of the global consulting firm’s research titled: European Voice over Wireless LAN Services Market 2005.
The Frost and Sullivan Award for Product Innovation is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated excellence in new products and technologies within their industry. The winner will have shown innovation by launching a broad line of emerging products and technologies, as Bluesocket did this year with the launch of access points, the industry’s first centralised RF sensor, the BlueView Management System and a wireless Intrusion Protection System to compliment the existing Controllers in the BlueSecure product portfolio. Frost and Sullivan perform extensive research into all new product launches and development alongside interviews with key personnel and then evaluate and compare the solutions based on innovative and customer satisfaction before drawing conclusions.
“ Bluesocket thoroughly deserve this award for its exceptional ability in eradicating security fears associated with WLAN and thereby attaining high levels of customer loyalty through their world-renowned innovative solutions,” said Luke Thomas, Research Analyst, ICT Europe, Frost and Sullivan. “ We firmly believe that Bluesocket’s contribution to the WLAN market with respect to security measures far exceeds that of any player in the market today and therefore will be a major driver for the uptake of VoWLAN as the market develops. Special praise must be given to their BlueSecure Controllers which are scalable, easy to configure and enhance the user experience. Combined with the other security products in the portfolio, it offers a sustainable competitive advantage.”
According to Frost and Sullivan, VoWLAN is still in its infancy but this year will be when VoWLAN starts to increase its presence. The rapid growth of Wi-Fi infrastructure along with new developments such as softphones, communication standards such as SIP and the emergence of dual mode handsets indicates that VoWLAN is headed for enterprise and consumer markets. As more and more enterprises install Wi-Fi networks, integrating voice is a natural progression.
“ Enterprises are quickly realising that wireless networking is inevitable and as a result are deploying WLANs in vast numbers. Our WLAN product portfolio takes the cost and complexity out of deployment and enables a simple, safe and secure WLAN infrastructure, whilst our Secure Mobility Matrix provides a stable basis for delivering secure voice applications over the WLAN,” said Dave Danielson, VP Marketing, Bluesocket. “ To win this award is a tremendous achievement and a great recognition of the products we’ve brought to market that provide wireless users with trust and simplicity in a complex environment.”
