Publication date: Wednesday, 25 May 2005

For a Limited Time, Ingram Micro Customers Can Take Advantage of Significant Discounts Through a Special Promotion for the Citrix Access Gateway

SANTA ANA, Calif., May 24, 2005 -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's leading technology distributor, today announced it will be the first distributor to offer Citrix Systems, Inc.'s new Access Gateway(TM), a universal SSL VPN appliance, to authorized channel partners in North America. Recognized for its ability to speed new products to market and surround with a comprehensive complement of services upon roll out, Ingram Micro will be the sole distributor of this product through June 30, 2005.

"By identifying trends in security and other new technologies, Ingram Micro can broaden our security solution offerings and strengthen our relationships with key manufacturers to equip our customers with the solutions that address the challenges businesses face," said Paul Bay, senior vice president, Ingram Micro. "We are pleased to be the first distributor to offer resellers the Citrix Access Gateway, an innovative solution that complements our growing portfolio of IPSec and SSL VPN offerings."

Ingram Micro continues to enhance its networking, mobility and security portfolios in order to provide value added resellers (VARs) with the ability to design, implement and support leading-edge technology solutions. The Citrix Access Gateway enables mobile and remote workers to securely leverage resources located on a central office network, by combining the secure access benefits of both IPSec- and SSL-based Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) without the cost and complexity drawbacks of either point solution. The product can be easily integrated with Citrix Presentation Server(TM) and delivers a single, secure, "always on" point of entry to the enterprise -- providing universal access to all applications and protocols from any device.

Ingram Micro is an experienced source for leading-edge products like the Citrix Access Gateway. Offering a variety of resources including pre-sales support, exclusive product availability, field sales support and field deployable engineers to help VARs design and implement solutions, Ingram Micro assists our resellers in more quickly leveraging the latest technology advances. Ingram Micro also offers a broad array of finance and leasing options that help resellers and end-users more efficiently manage their cash flow.

"We are pleased to partner with Ingram Micro to support our Citrix Solution Advisors with our new Citrix Access Gateway," said Al Monserrat, vice president, North America, Citrix. "Our Access Gateway serves as a compelling stand-alone or complementary access solution to Ingram Micro's portfolio of security solutions, addressing one of the basic technical challenges faced by businesses today: the need to provide secure access to private information over both trusted and untrusted networks."
