Worried About Identity Theft?

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (May 23, 2005) – Stealth Ideas Inc (www.stealthsurfer.com), a manufacturer of computer peripherals designed to protect consumer privacy, today released the much-awaited upgrade to last year’s hot personal security device. StealthSurfer II, the fully redesigned, thumb-sized flash storage drive now includes on-board integration with Anonymous Surfing™, an identity protection program from Anonymizer®. By combining the local privacy features of the StealthSurfer with IP masking of Anonymous Surfing, StealthSurfer II is the most robust privacy and identity protection tool available on the market.

This single product now offers comprehensive protection of personal information, credit card numbers, and financial transactions from online snoops. Tiny enough to carry on a keychain, and bundled with its own high-speed browser, the USB 2.0 flash drive plugs into the USB port of a computer and allows users to surf the Web with total privacy. The device begins shipping in May and will be available in memory configurations of 128-megabytes to one-gigabyte at pricing starting at $99. Small, sleek and versatile, StealthSurfer II offers the very best in portability, privacy and identity theft protection.

“This is the perfect marriage of technologies,” says Lance Cottrell, Anonymizer founder and president. “With over ten million Americans the victim of identity theft last year, the need for a comprehensive privacy and identity protection device is clear – and with the new StealthSurfer II, consumers can breathe easy with the knowledge that all of their online activities will remain completely private.”

The StealthSurfer Device
The StealthSurfer is a personal micro storage drive that, when plugged into the USB 2.0[1] port of a computer, allows users to surf the Web without leaving a trail of surfing history on the local computer. Using the customized Firefox Web browser that comes preloaded on the StealthSurfer drive, all cookies, cached files and other downloaded images are stored privately on this secure removable device. Once the user is done, the StealthSurfer is removed and the micro-sized unit goes with them – ensuring complete privacy of Internet habits. Even Web-based email can be stored on the StealthSurfer, making this the ideal tool for office workers, frequent travelers or students who wish to keep their personal email private and removed from public computer workstations.

Comprehensive Privacy Solution – all integrated under one hood

StealthSurfer II is loaded with a host of privacy protection tools that are seamlessly integrated into one tiny and portable keychain device. With all these tools “under one hood,” users can not only protect their personal computer, but can now take this virtual “armor” with them wherever they go – even when traveling or using public computers. The full suite of protection includes:

Firefox (high-speed browser with enhanced security):

Surf the Web with the newest Internet browser with the highest security capabilities available. Firefox empowers users to browse faster, more safely and more efficiently than with any other browser. Built with security in mind, Firefox keeps computers safe from malicious spyware and includes a comprehensive set of privacy features to keep online activity secure.

Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing (complete IP masking):

Anonymous Surfing safeguards a user’s identity and Internet activities by shielding their IP, or Internet address, from hackers and online snoops. An encrypted path is created between a user’s computer and the Internet using 128-bit SSL technology, the most secure form of SSL available, to ensure the highest level of protection and anonymity. Anonymous Surfing defends users from the most prevalent Internet privacy and security threats, including online identity theft, phishing attacks, and online tracking. When used from a wireless-enabled laptop, Anonymous Surfing secures all data sent over a wireless connection while surfing at home, at work or at the local coffee shop. The program is activated with the click of a single button and works silently in the background without slowing the Internet connection.

RoboForm (one-click form-fill and user ID/password management application):

This integrated tool simplifies the process of filling out online forms by storing multiple user identities, including name, address, phone number, and other important information required by the user; it also securely stores confidential data such as passwords, bank accounts, and credit card numbers. Key features include:

Auto-fills and auto-saves passwords
Logs users into an online account with just one click
Protects passwords and other personal information with strong encryption
Can generate hard-to-guess passwords (and remembers them for the user)
Organizes logins, bookmarks, credit cards, bank accounts and address books – keep all data securely in one place
Take it with you – automatically login to sites from any computer without installing or typing (prevents keystroke logging software from acquiring confidential passwords or credit card numbers)
Online shopping, job searches, sweepstakes – RoboForm fills registration and checkout forms instantly

Thunderbird (portable email access):

Access an email account anywhere at anytime. Thunderbird gives users a faster, safer and more productive email experience. Designed to prevent viruses and to stop junk mail, this tool is portable and can secure both POP mail (such as through Outlook or Outlook Express) and Web-based email.
