Adventnet has announced the availability of a small business pack of its web-based remote windows desktop management software, Desktop Central 3. It offers remote configurations, software installation, security configuration management and active directory reporting for Windows 2000/2003/XP desktops. This small business pack includes all the functionalities of the professional edition.

Desktop Central provides an automated solution to do almost all day to day management activities of desktops like Printer configuration, Proxy configuration, Applications (MS Office & MS Outlook) configurations, Application launching, XP Firewall configuration, Services configuration, etc. Its unique Configuration status update helps administrators to understand whether the configuration has been applied to target desktops, if not know the reasons for failure.
