InterSystems attends 3GSM 2006 to demonstrate how its innovative technology helps telecoms companies

InterSystems, the developer of the Caché post-relational database and the Ensemble universal integration platform, is inviting partners, prospects, press and analysts to meet with it at 3GSM 2006, in Hall 2 level 0, Stand G52/G53.
At this world-renowned event, InterSystems will show how it is actively enabling telecoms operators, equipment manufacturers and systems integrators deal with the exponential rise in data they increasingly have to handle. This growth is being driven by legislation and the rich variety of content and applications that are driving the telecoms marketplace. A large number of telecoms companies, including BT, are already making use of InterSystems' high performance database and integration platform technologies to rapidly develop applications that solve this issue.
For example, InterSystems Caché is playing a key role in the engine of BT Transform's operational systems support (OSS) programme, by helping to automate manual processes, make network operations easier and provide the benefits of well-integrated service-oriented architectures (SOAs).
InterSystems also participates in key industry initiatives such as the implementation of NGOSS based services, and is a member of the TeleManagement Forum. InterSystems brings strong support, a wealth of experience and robust leading edge technology to the TM Forum in general, and to operators who need to tackle the challenges of building operational support systems based on the TM Forum New Generation Operations Systems and Software (NGOSS) and Shared Information/Data model (SID) in particular.
Chris Norton, head of the UK telco business at InterSystems said, "It will be apparent at 3GSM 2006 that the technologies that enable a highly personalised mobile experience are leading to exponential increases in the types and amounts of data being gathered, stored, accessed and managed by telecoms companies. The increasing complexity of the network environment, the devices that connect to it and the behaviour of customers are combining to put increasing pressure on data management disciplines."
Norton continued, "At 3GSM, we want to help companies in the mobile and fixed markets understand how InterSystems can help solve these issues rapidly, easily and cost-effectively, most specifically through the TeleManagement Forum and NGOSS programme. InterSystems' innovative object-oriented technology enables increased volumes of data and transactions beyond the limits of plain relational technology."
InterSystems will demonstrate both Caché and Ensemble on its stand at the show. Caché is a post-relational database that enables the consolidation and optimisation of data stores. With multiple data access methods it can meet different OSS and BSS needs simultaneously, especially with scalable Web-centric customer self-service applications.
InterSystems Ensemble, the universal integration platform, facilitates the development of composite applications, business process management, workflow, and business activity monitoring solutions that simplify processes and accelerate business transformation.
