Snipe Networks Adds Network Security Executive to its Management Team


Snipe Networks, a start-up focused on zero-day worm and malicious attack prevention, announced today that it is expanding its management team with the addition of Roy Pereira as VP of Business Development.

TORONTO, Canada November 9, 2005 -- Snipe Networks, a start-up focused on zero-day worm and malicious attack prevention, announced today that it is expanding its management team.

"I am very happy to announce the appointment of Roy Pereira as the VP of Business Development", said Peter Yong, CEO and Founder of Snipe Networks. "Roy brings a tremendous operational experience level to our company. This management expansion will allow Snipe Networks to accelerate our sales and marketing efforts".

Roy Pereira has over 15 years of strategic and operational experience in the networking and security industries. His last post was at Certicom Corp. as VP, Marketing & Product Management where he lead the company's technology and solutions marketing, corporate marketing, branding, marketing communications and public relations initiatives and product management.

Prior to that, he was a Manager of several Marketing and Product Management groups responsible for security within Cisco System's Access Router and Security business units, where he looked after several VPN and security related products, technologies and teams. He has also held executive marketing and senior technical positions within TimeStep Corp. (later acquired by Newbridge), where he was the major force behind TimeStep's leading edge IPSec VPN strategy, and was heavily involved within the IETF standards body authoring several IP Security specifications and patents.

Roy’s experience will allow Snipe Networks to bring the sales and marketing execution, messaging and plans inline with the product and business vision.
