Symantec issues fixes for critical flaws Friday, 24 September 2004 11:40 EST
Symantec has released firmware fixes for a string of critical security holes in its firewall/VPN and Gateway Security products which could be exploited to cause a denial of service, identify active services, and manipulate the firewall configuration.
The company said there were three high-risk vulnerabilities in the Symantec Firewall/VPN Appliance 100, 200 and 200R models; the Symantec Gateway Security 320, 360 and 360R series was vulnerable to two of these issues.
