Currently wired broadband solutions are by far the most cost effective solutions as you'd expect, and basic xDSL plans can now be had for less than what a decent dial-up connection would cost you just a year or two ago. The low cost, and high speed of these broadband connections have opened a whole new world of home servers where people host their own Internet related services such as email and websites. However, in the race to get more for less, are we properly taking into consideration the negative impact this new world of internet access can bring?
