IT professionals to discuss cyber security


The US Department of Defense has invited world’s internet experts and networking professionals to discuss cyber security and also asked a leading internet service provider of Pakistan to define the state of cyber security in the country. Some 18 cyber security specialists from different countries would be participating in the two-day meeting scheduled on February 18-19 in Baltimore, Maryland. "We have been formally invited by the US Department of Defense to define current status of cyber security in Pakistan," said chief of an ISP.

"We are assigned to put together a 15-20 slides presentation on the state of information security in Pakistan. It would be about the uses of IT, who is using, how it is being used and some of the common challenges we are facing," he added.
