Hackers Attack U.S Army Computers

The U.S Army reported on Monday that attackers stole computer hardware from For Carson coating soldier’s Social Security numbers and other personal information. Among the stolen information are thousands of soldiers who are serving in Iraq.

The thieves stole computer hard drivers a month ago from a building where soldiers get identification cards and update personal information such as bank account, birth, job, rank and additional sensitive information. The number of records were stolen is unknown.

The Army has already issued a warning to the soldiers and their families to watch their personal information in order to avoid identity theft issues. So far no cases of identity theft had been reported.

This appears to be the second attack on the U.S Army within two months. Only last month, hacker managed to gain access into U.S Air Force database and still personal information of Air Force officers.
